SEA Aquarium on Thursday was so awesome I couldn't wait to blog about it! Ok so how bf got the tickets was really funny yet.... idkwhattosay. Really. He asked his long-time admirer if she wanted to help him and she gladly agreed. "How can I help?", she asked, and he paid her $20 and also gave her a can of coke to survive the horrible weather to travel all the way to Sentosa to get a pair of tickets for us... when she was back she asked who's he going with (obviously had high hopes it was her lmao), and he replied "my girlfriend lah". Sorry but I couldn't help but LOL the moment I heard the whole story.. felt a bit bad for her though cos she kinda got her hopes crushed hahaha.
"The largest oceanarium in the world... with the smallest fishes." That's what my couz said and I realised how true it was. It was superbly pretty with the crazy amount of fish species they stored in there. Kinda disappointed there weren't many huge sharks though :/ I love sharks don't ask why. It's just.. their large jaws, fierce aura and the powerful tail swiping left, right, left, right, owning the whole ocean. Majestic don't you think?
No fishes in the background + black me = fail
Pretty or not you tell me?!
Yay happy me :D
It's HUGE! Angmoh's head not to be used as measurement reference.
Well obviously my photography skills aren't good here but it's
difficult to fit the whole aquarium into iPhone 5's camera frame.
This was where the final walk for ANTM was held!!!
Was kinda sad the travelator wasn't working that day haha, kid in me always love those "walking escalators". Will recommend every singaporean to visit SEA Aquarium at least once for the experience and also see how large it actually is.. C'mon a little singaporean pride here yes? Still can't believe Asia's Next Top Model actually held their final walk there. Imagine a runway just beside the aquarium with legit models walking down omg how awesome laaaahhh. Tyra Banks is just. beyond. amayyyzannngggg.
Yep that's about it for the SEA Aquarium part, go there yourself and experience it as a whole if you're really interested :)
AAAAAAAAND after our fishy adventure we went to hunt for food to satisfy our tummies.. you should know I'm a good eater (for a female) but he's a GREAT eater. Shall not elaborate.
First: MOKATA!!! If you don't know what that is, it's Thai steamboat and bbq. It's better than the chinese style imo. Here's a picture.
And another one.....
The best chilli for steamboat. Ever.
The Thais really know their thing!!
For the best mokata, go to Golden Mile Complex at Lavender area. Oh cmon don't tell me you're too lazy to google it? That place is a tad too 'messy' for me from 2nd floor onward at night though, if you get what I mean. Just be careful and go with company.
That was lunch. A late one. We then headed down to Marina Sq to catch a movie. GI Joe: Retaliation was the BOMB but the plot was meh. I don't get how the world is considered safe and saved when a city was destroyed completely. Like GONE. Which city was it? London or NY? I forgot. Forgave its flaw mainly for Channing Tatum. Heehee
SECOND: Sakae Sushi!!! Money really flew out of our pockets that day sobsob but our tummies were ever so grateful.
My second favourite dish in jpn restaurants.
Baby octopus!! First is sashimi duhhhh.
SHIOKAH
Where got time take picture of sashimi??
Take me lah sua.
As much as I want to tell y'all how great the sashimi was, I'm quite hesitant to do so. COS THEY WEREN'T FRESH AND I'M VERY SENSITIVE TOWARDS FRESH/NOT FRESH FOOD. The slices weren't even cold enough and were too thick imo. Soft shell crab tempura was up to standard, nevertheless. As expected. Haha maybe the bad sashimi were the last few to be served, hence the least fresh. Can't say I blame them, we walked in at 9:30pm when their closing time was 10pm lolol. Finished everything in 15mins. Good, great or crazy eaters we are? :))
My Thursday was made like that. Happy to be sharing my everlasting love for food with someone I love. Again, ending off with another picture for y'all. Happy Good Friday/Easter Sunday Weekend!! God loves ya.
xx
